Fort Worth FLYFEST 2023
Fort Woth Flyfest is here, and Coffee & Caddis (C&C) and our sister shop, Los Pescadores Coffee & Outfitters (LPCO), are excited to sponsor this year’s Big Trout Contest!
With just five days left, things are churning and getting hot, just like the coffee roasting machine used for our coffee beans. This year will be slightly different as we debut our sister shop, LPCO, from South Padre Island, Texas. It has the same concept as Coffee & Caddis, except it is geared towards saltwater fly fishing – specifically the Lower Laguna Madre. Not only is there a brick & mortar store (opening in May 2023), they have an online store with saltwater fly rods, flies, fly-tying materials, apparel, and merchandise you can buy – online, or on the Island. Be sure to visit the Los Pescadores online store and stop by our booth to learn more. LPCO will have T&T and TFO rods in the booth for you to try out. Greg Welander, a popular guide here in North Texas, who is also a Rep for T&T, will be at the booth showcasing the rod’s superior performance. There will also be some HOT SHOW DEALS of tropical apparel from Los Pecadores – in the booth. Shannon Drawe, aka Texas Fly Caster, who is native of the Laguna Madre, but also a legacy carp guide in North Texas, will also be there to answer any questions regarding Los Pescadores. Shannon has been there overseeing the project and knows the Island like the back of his hand, so bring questions!
This year for Coffee & Caddis, we will debut our original Nitro Bourbon Cold Brew. It will be our signature drink at Los Pescadores and the South Padre Island crowd can’t wait for this cold, unique blend of a dark roast coffee with a bourbon aroma. It is accompanied by smokey smores tasting notes, low acidity, and full-bodied texture that WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD. We will also have lattes, espresso, and regular drip coffee at the event! If you are interested in tasting different regions and profiles, stop by because we will have a station for you to taste-test each of our offerings. Also, we will have flies that are tied locally by our very own, Russell Husted, our Director of Business Operations. Our commitement is simple, locally tied flies, locally roasted coffee. So make sure to stop and learn more about our initiatives.
